National Convention

Each year in November, American Agri-Women hosts a National Convention to bring all its members and affiliate members together for tours, leadership and professional development sessions, speakers, and to host our annual business meeting.

In 2016, AAW’s National Convention will be at Raleigh, North Carolina at the Embassy Suites on November 16-19, 2016.

Mid-Year Meeting

Each year in March/April, American Agri-Women hosts a Mid-Year Meeting for those interested in discussing current agricultural issues and policies and voting to create AAW’s Position Statements for that upcoming year, which is the basis for our AAW Legislative Fly-In in June of each year.

In 2016, AAW’s Mid-Year Meeting will be at Wichita, Kansas at the Hyatt Regency on March 9-13, 2016.

  • Book your flights and plan your ground transportion:
    • You can fly into the Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport.  It is approximately six and one-half (6 1/2) miles or ten (10) minutes from the Hotel.  
    • The Hotel offers complimentary transportation to and from for all Hotel guests between the hours of 5:00 AM – 10:30 PM.  Pleaseccall 316-293-1234 once you arrive at the airport so the courtsey vehicle can pick you up across from the front entrance.
    • You can all use a cab service which ranges from $12.00 - $13.00. The services provided are:

  • Hotel Information - CLICK HERE to book your sleeping room!  The room rates start at $109 per night.  This rate is good from March 6 until March 15, 2015. If you need additional assistance, please call 1-888-421-1442.
    • The hotel offers ten (10) ADA accesible rooms, please call to reserve your room early to ensure you are accomodated.
    • The hotel check in time is 3pm and check out time is noon.
    • The hotel requires a room and incidental deposit in the amount of thirty ($30.00) per night which can be paid by cash or credit card.  The deposit will be returned after 7-10 business days.
    • If you need to ship anything to the hotel, please let our Executive Assistant know.

    • When the hotel shuttle is not being utilized for airport transportation, the Hotel will provide complimentary transportation to the Old Town district and INTRUST Bank Arena.

Syngenta Leadership At It’s Best Program

Each year in March-May, American Agri-Women with the gracious support and hosting from Syngenta (link to Syngenta’s page) invites 15-20 women to attend the annual Leadership At It’s Best Program to learn how to become a better leader.

In 2016, AAW & Syngenta’s Leadership At It’s Best Program will be at a Greensboro, North Carolina on April 2-5, 2016. If you’re interested, submit your application by February 15, 2016 of each year to You must submit an application to be considered to attend as there will be a specific number of those who will be selected.


Legislative Fly-In

Each year in June, American Agri-Women hosts a Legislative Fly-In for those interested to speak to their legislators, agencies, and other professionals in Washington D.C. about current agricultural issues and policies while relying upon your own opinions as well as AAW’s Position Statements. We also explore the city and its major historical sites.


In 2016, AAW’s Fly-In will be at Washington, D.C. ( at the Holiday Inn Capitol on June 5-8, 2016.
