Reliable infrastructure is the backbone of rural communities. From modernizing roads and bridges to ensuring high-speed internet access, AAW believes that investing in rural infrastructure is critical to keeping farms and agribusinesses competitive.
Our Position: AAW supports targeted federal resources to expand broadband access in rural areas and modernize transportation infrastructure, including roads, rail, and waterways that are vital to agriculture.
Why It Matters: Without high-speed internet, rural businesses struggle to access markets, implement precision agriculture, and connect with suppliers and consumers. Likewise, outdated transportation systems increase costs and slow down the delivery of goods.
